The signing of the PT Bali Tangi PKS with the Faculty of Agriculture
The Faculty of Agriculture on Friday, August 16, 2022 at the Agrokomplek building on the 4th floor of Jl PB Sudirman signed a PKS with PT Bali Tangi, which has been known to the public as the originator of Spa products in Bali which are made from natural ingredients. This event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr.Ir. I Nyoman Gede Ustriyana, MM, Head of S1 Agroecotechnology Study Program, Dr. Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, SP., M.Sc., Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Putu Wirawan as PIC from the Faculty of Agriculture, and attended by lecturers and students from the concentration of Agricultural Biotechnology.
Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gede Ustriyana, MM. in his direction expressed his gratitude to PT. Bali Tangi who has given the opportunity to the Faculty of Agriculture to start exploring natural ingredients that can be used as quality products and can be produced to make health and beauty products. In the future, the Dean hopes that there will be some students who can do internships at PT. Bali Tangi.
In his remarks, the owner of PT Bali Tangi, Made Yuliani, gave a brief description of Pt Bali Tangi, starting with taking advantage of his experience working in the pharmaceutical sector, I Wayan Sukhana (his husband) started a business making Balinese body scrub products (boreh) with the Bali Tangi label, since 2002. He saw an opportunity to sell souvenirs in the form of skin care products such as body scrubs used in spas. The fragrant aroma immediately wafted from the room displaying Bali Tangi products. According to Made Yuliani, Bali Tangi cosmetic products are herbal based, 95 percent of the raw materials come from Indonesian agriculture which are processed into beauty products in the form of powders or scrubs, scrubs and masks.” We have many ingredients from Indonesian agriculture that can be used as raw materials for culottes care products and cosmetics. There are fruits, flowers and spices native to Indonesia. “This is in accordance with Bali Tangi's vision of realizing a healthy society in harmony with nature.
