International Student Teams Participate in Young AgroEcoVisionary Competition in Bali
Denpasar - As reported by iBaliNews.Com, Bali will host Young AgroEcoVisionary 2025, an international applied research competition for university students. Six teams from Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, and Vietnam will collaborate to address critical ecological challenges in wastewater management for agricultural and urban systems across ASEAN from August 4 to 15, 2025.
The event features a unique peer-to-peer learning format: each team develops practical solutions to real-world environmental cases prepared by other participants, using interactive 3D modeling tools. An independent jury of 16 environmental experts from ASEAN institutions will evaluate the projects, emphasizing innovation, feasibility, and sustainability.
Organized by the AgroEcoVeda Club with support from the ASEAN-Russia cooperation project ENV/EVN/24/003/REG, the competition highlights the region's commitment to developing scalable ecological solutions through academic exchange.
Representing Indonesia in this program is a collaborative team from Udayana University, joined by two other leading Indonesian universities. The team consists of experienced trainers and student delegates specializing in agriculture, environmental studies (Prof. Suada, Ida Ayu Made Intan Pujawati, Yesika, Margareth, Sarah), fisheries, and marine science (Sukma).
Through this initiative, the diverse expertise of each member fosters cross-disciplinary discussions, encouraging innovation and analytical reasoning to develop sustainable and economically beneficial waste management solutions. DEL
