The Faculty of Agriculture Holds National Seminar and Socialization of the Independent Accreditation Institution for Higher Education in Agriculture (LAM-PTIP) Assessment Instrument

Denpasar - The Faculty of Agriculture held a National Seminar and Socialization of the Independent Accreditation Institution for Higher Education in Agriculture (LAM-PTIP) Assessment Instrument in the Wiswakarma Hall, 4th Floor, Faculty of Engineering Building, Sudirman Campus, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the Wiswakarma Hall. The seminar featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiwiyono, M.Si., from Sebelas Maret University as the resource person. The seminar was opened by the Rector of Udayana University and attended by several Deans from Udayana University, including the Deans of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, the Deans of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, and the Deans of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology; the Institute for Agricultural Technology (LP3M) of Udayana University, the Center for Agricultural Technology (UP3M), the Center for Agricultural Technology (TPPPMP), lecturers, staff, and students. Several universities in Bali, including Mahasaraswati University, Warmadewa University, Dwijendra University, Panji Sakti University, and Tabanan University, were also invited to participate.

The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, represented by Vice Dean I Dr. Putu Udayani Wijayanti, S.P., M.Agb., reported that the seminar was held in conjunction with the anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Agriculture Education and Training (BKFP) and the 63rd anniversary of Udayana University. The seminar was attended by approximately 140 people, consisting of representatives from Udayana University faculties (lecturers, students, and staff), as well as representatives from other universities in Bali. The seminar aimed to deepen understanding of the new instrument developed by the Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM). The seminar is expected to provide a platform for the transfer of knowledge from speakers to participants and serve as a better first step in improving study program accreditation.

Udayana University Rector, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., in his remarks before opening the seminar, stated that LAM-PTIP is an independent accreditation institution that determines the excellence of study programs according to their scientific field, namely agricultural science. The Rector also emphasized that study programs and faculties' knowledge and understanding of the new accreditation instruments constitutes an external accountability to the stakeholders who have entrusted their students to the institution. In his closing remarks, he urged lecturers to pay attention to the new instruments in the LAM-PTIP and urged them to continue supporting government programs for food security and sovereignty.
