The role of agriculture is very important as a provider of food, labor, industrial raw materials, and increasing the country's foreign exchange. Gede Sedana also said that agricultural problems so far have also been very complex, starting from uncertain climates, land conversion, technology, government policies, and land degradation. Things that need to be done so that they can be sustainable inclusively are by increasing production, income and maintaining good ecology. Putu Sudiarta revealed the form of sustainable agriculture, namely by protecting the ecosystem from synthetic pesticides, which began with his concern for farmers who often use synthetic pesticides excessively, which will cause environmental pollution which also has an impact on the sustainability of agricultural cultivation. The solution offered is to utilize natural enemies in the surrounding environment through biopesticides to control pests and plant diseases. These pesticides utilize living organisms naturally such as animals, plants, and microorganisms or products produced by microorganisms that can be used to control pests, plant pathogens and weeds, so that they can support sustainable food self-sufficiency.
