Socialization of the Master Program of the Department of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University

The Faculty of Agriculture on Thursday, November 3, 2022 received a visit from the Socialization Team of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases of the Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, which took place offline at the Agrocomplex building, Sudirman campus. Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, S.P., M.Si Head of Study Program for S2 Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Ani Widiastuti, S.P., M.P., Ph.D, Head of Department of Pests and Plant Diseases UGM, Tri joko., S.P., M.Sc., Ph. D, Lecturer in the Concentration of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, UNUD. This socialization event was moderated by Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr as the Head of the Master's Degree Study Program in Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture and also from the Concentration of Plant Pests and Diseases.


 Coordinator of S1 Agroecotechnology Study Program, Dr. Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, S.P., M.P in her speech was very grateful to the socialization team from UGM for providing socialization to undergraduate students at the Faculty of Agriculture specifically who would be interested in continuing their master's degree at UGM. students from the concentration of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, UNUD.


The first resource person, Ani Widiastuti, S.P., M.P., Ph.D gave a socialization about the Masters Program at UGM, where there are 2 study programs, namely the Phytopathology Study Program and the Plant Pest Science Study Program. from UNUD Faculty of Agriculture students who are interested in continuing their master's degree to UGM. In the socialization it is also given an explanation of how to register, create a registration account and register online. One of the interesting things about prospective new students is that there is also a TOEFL fan Test TPA test that can be done there and can be repeated if it has not been fulfilled, even for students who apply for scholarships but there is no announcement when they are accepted, they can be postponed until the student receives a scholarship.

The second resource person, Tri Joko., S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D, gave a socialization about the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences at UGM. Tri Joko also explained about the formation of APSITA (Pengurus Asosiasi Proteksi Tanaman)  which was established in 2021 and has held meetings with the administrators and also all representatives of APSITA members throughout Indonesia.
