Signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Timor Leste and the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University

In order to improve Key Performance Indicators, the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Forestry of Timor Leste in the field of research with the title Evaluation of Land Suitability and Mapping of Regional Potential for Agricultural Commodities in Timor Leste.


The activity which was held on Friday, April 26 2024, which took place in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Denpasar, was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Coordinator of Study Programs within the Faculty of Agriculture, Head of the Information and Cooperation Center Unit (UPIKS ), Administration Coordinator, Education and Cooperation Sub-Coordinator, Research Team from Udayana University, as well as several representatives from Timor Leste, namely General Director Cooperation, Rofino Soares Gusmao, General Food Security, Ervina Soares Pinto, National Director Research and Statistics, Cesar Jose da Cruz, Head of the Soil Research Department, Celestino Moreira and several lecturers at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University.


This research has never been carried out in Timor Leste, so it is hoped that the results of the activity can determine the potential of agricultural commodities that can be developed in Timor Leste. It is also hoped that the results of this research can provide appropriate recommendations for the development of agricultural commodities, where Timor Leste is known for its coffee products, and is able to discover the potential for other commodities.
