Collaboration of the Faculty of Agriculture of Udayana University with the Plant Quarantine Service in In-house Training to Improve the Competence of Plant Quarantine Functional Personnel in 2022

The Head of the Denpasar Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center, invited a resource person from the Faculty of Agriculture, UNUD, namely I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., for the Inhouse Training of the Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center Denpasar. This event was carried out in the framework of efforts to increase the competence of certain functional staff as Plant Quarantine Analysts and Plant Quarantine Inspectors. The event was held on Thursday-Friday, 24-25 November 2022 at 09.00 WITA in the BKP Class I Denpasar Meeting room, Jl Raya Benoa No, 20 Pesanggaran Denpasar Bali which was attended by the Head of BKP Class I Denpasar and his staff.

In his remarks the Head of BKP Class I Denpasar, drh. I Putu Terunanegara, M.M. would like to thank the resource persons who have attended and are willing to share their knowledge at the Class I Agricultural Quarantine Service and in the future it is hoped that they can always collaborate in the field of research, especially identifying OPT attacks on plants.

I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D is a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University who is an expert in the field of Insect Pathogens. In this in-house training, he provided material on molecular identification of Mealy Bugs and carried out practical work with 2 topics, namely 1. PCR extracted from Mealybugs and 2. Electrophoresis from PCR results.
