Workshop on the Development of SDGs 4-Based Practicum Modules to Enhance Quality Education at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University

Denpasar, May 13, 2026 – The Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, held a Workshop on the Development of Practicum Modules Based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4. This activity served as a strategic step to improve inclusive and quality education within the Faculty of Agriculture. The workshop aimed to provide standardized guidelines for the implementation of lectures and practicum activities, while also facilitating Study Program Coordinators, Laboratory Heads, and Course Coordinators in documenting practicum modules aligned with SDGs 4 indicators.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, including the Dean, Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, and all lecturers within the faculty. The program began with remarks from the Organizing Committee Chair and was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture. In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, I Putu Sudiarta, SP., M.Si., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of mainstreaming SDGs 4 as a pillar of educational advancement. He stated that the integration of SDGs into the curriculum is one of the key performance indicator targets at both the Udayana University and Faculty of Agriculture levels.

“The preparation of aligned guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is crucial to supporting the effectiveness of lectures. In addition, comprehensive module documentation is a key requirement in supporting study programs toward achieving Excellent accreditation status,” he stated.

To strengthen the substance of the practicum modules, the committee invited Dr. Ir. I Gede Wijana, M.S., Coordinator of Joint Practicum Activities at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, as the resource person. During the session, he provided technical assistance by presenting concrete examples of practicum module implementation that had been successfully applied.

Through this workshop, lecturers at the Faculty of Agriculture are expected to gain clear guidance and practical support in developing adaptive and standardized practicum modules, thereby contributing to the creation of a high-quality academic ecosystem at Udayana University.
