The Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University Successfully Holds a Regular Scientific Seminar on Rural Development and Local Economic Development

On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University held its Regular Scientific Seminar. The event took place in the Senate Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Agrocomplex Building, 2nd Floor, Sudirman Campus. This seminar is part of the routine academic activities organized by the Agribusiness Study Program, specifically coordinated by the Community Development Laboratory.


The seminar was officially opened by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Agribusiness Study Program, Dr. Ni Luh Prima Kemala Dewi, S.P., M.Agb. It was attended by lecturers of the Agribusiness Study Program, undergraduate students, master's students in Agribusiness, as well as doctoral students in Agricultural Sciences.


The event featured Dr. I Dewa Made Darma Setiawan as the keynote speaker, who serves as a Community Extension Expert from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (PDT) for the Bali region. In addition to delivering his presentation, he shared valuable insights from his experience as a community extension officer, particularly in the field of rural development and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes).


The seminar was moderated by Dr. I Gede Setiawan Adi Putra, M.Si., a lecturer in the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, who also has extensive experience in agricultural extension.


Dr. Prima expressed her hope that this seminar, themed “Rural Development and Local Economic Development,” would contribute to fostering a dynamic academic atmosphere on campus by addressing real-world phenomena occurring in society today.
