Socialization of the Master's Study Program within the Faculty of Agriculture, Unud to East Nusa Tenggara (Kupang)

Four Coordinators of the Master's Study Program (Koprodi) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University were assigned to Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara to carry out outreach. The four Koprodi consisting of Prof. Dr. Ir. Rindang Dwiyani, M.Sc. (Master of Agroecotechnology), Dr. Ir. Ni Nyoman Ari Mayadewi, M.P. (Master of Dry Land Agriculture), Dr. I Dewa Ayu Sri Yudhari, S.P., M.Si. (Master of Agribusiness), and Dr. Trisna Agung Phabiola, S.P., M.Si. (Master of Agricultural Biotechnology) carried out outreach to two agencies, namely the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of East Nusa Tenggara Province and the Kupang State Agricultural Polytechnic (Politani). The visit will last for 2 days, namely 17-18 November 2023.


Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr. specifically assigned the master's study program coordinators to increase the number of students in the master's program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. On this occasion the Koprodi presented the existence and advantages of each study program. The vision and mission, curriculum, graduate profile, education costs, facilities, and procedures for accepting new students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University are things conveyed by the Koprodi and the most important thing is information regarding the acceptance of new students for the 2023/2024 Even Semester. It will be open from 15 November 2023 - 3 January 2024. We hope that holding this outreach will increase the enthusiasm of prospective students who register for the Masters Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University.


The group was received by Joaz Umbu Wanda as Secretary of the East Nusa Tenggara Province Agriculture and Food Security Service. Also present at the socialization event were Lyla Bulan (Head of General Subdivision), Data Planning and Evaluation Subdivision, and staff within the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of East Nusa Tenggara Province. In his speech, Joaz really appreciated the arrival of the Udayana University FP Socialization Team, considering that very few human resources in the East Nusa Tenggara Province Agriculture and Food Security Service had Master's degrees.


The socialization continued at the Kupang State Agricultural Polytechnic, the group was welcomed by John Tibo Kana Tiri, STP., MSc (Head of the Department of Food Crops and Horticulture), Ir. Eko H. A. Juwaningsih, M.Sc. (Horticulture Industrial Technology Study Program Coordinator), and Dr. Vinni D. Tome, S.P, M.Sc. (Food Crops & Horticulture Study Program Coordinator). The activity was also attended by Kupang State Politani D4 Program students who had entered their final assignments and also alumni who had just graduated. John Tibo, who represented the Director of Kupang State Politani, welcomed this activity positively. John hopes that this visit can provide insight and useful information for Kupang State Politani students as well as fresh graduates in continuing their studies at Master's level. Apart from that, it is hoped that it will open up opportunities for wider collaboration between the two institutions in the fields of education, research and development of agricultural technology. It was also conveyed that this socialization activity could make a positive contribution to improving the quality of human resources and development of the agricultural sector in East Nusa Tenggara Province.
