Improving the Quality of Learning at the Faculty of Agriculture by Accelerating the Preparation of the OBE-Based Semester Lesson Plan (RPS)
Denpasar - The Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, held a Workshop on Refreshing the OBE-Based Semester Lesson Plan (RPS) for Quality Education (SDG 4). This workshop took place from February 11-24, 2026, in the 4th Floor Auditorium of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. Ninety-two lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture attended the workshop. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., with a solemn opening ceremony with the singing of the national anthem "Indonesia Raya" and a prayer for the smooth running of the event.
In his remarks, Sudiarta emphasized that the RPS update is not merely an administrative routine, but a vital instrument in ensuring the quality of graduates and meeting the LAMPTIP document standards. Furthermore, Sudiarta explained that this workshop represents a concrete step by the faculty in supporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 7 for 2026, specifically regarding higher education involvement in Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4) on Quality Education. Sudiarta also emphasized that the development of the latest RPS must include targeted SDG achievement indicators, as a concrete manifestation of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University's support for the implementation of quality education globally.
Entering the main session, the workshop continued with a presentation and in-depth discussion regarding the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept in RPS development. The discussion was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Made Trigunasih, M.P., Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M) of the Faculty of Agriculture. The event featured two expert speakers: Ainul Ghurri, Ph.D. (Coordinator of the LP3M Unud Internationalization Center) and I Made Arsa Suyadnya, S.T., M.Eng. (Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University). This workshop marks a concrete step for the Faculty of Agriculture in achieving the Quality Education target (SDG 4) by improving its curriculum documents. With the OBE-standardized RPS, the faculty aims not only to strengthen study program accreditation but also to ensure the creation of an academic ecosystem capable of producing excellent, independent, and cultured graduates who are ready to contribute to society.
