First Day of PKKMB FP Unud 2026 Equips New Students with Academic Insights and Strong National Character
Denpasar, August 4, 2026 – The Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, held the first day of the 2026 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students, known as PKKMB, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The event took place in the Nusantara Room, fourth floor of the Agrokomplek Building, Udayana University’s Sudirman Campus.
PKKMB FP Unud 2026 carries the theme “New Shoots, Strong Roots, Building an Empowered Agricultural Future.” The theme is aligned with the fourth Sustainable Development Goal, namely Quality Education. It portrays new students as a generation with great potential to grow into competent, creative, critical, and ethical individuals who can adapt to developments in science and technology.
The event was attended by 292 participants, consisting of 212 new students and 80 senior students. Based on study programs, the participants comprised 125 students from the Agribusiness Study Program, 143 students from the Agroecotechnology Study Program, and 24 students from the Landscape Architecture Study Program.
The first-day program began with an opening ceremony featuring the Indonesian national anthem and the Faculty of Agriculture anthem, followed by a prayer, a report from the organizing committee chairperson, remarks from the Chairperson of the Faculty of Agriculture Student Executive Board, and a speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, who officially opened the event.
Following the opening ceremony, participants received an introduction to the implementation of agricultural higher education at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. New students were also introduced to key academic documents, including the Study Plan Card, Academic Transcript Card, and logbook, as well as procedures for resolving academic issues.
The next session covered educational facilities and financing, student organizations and activities, student regulations, student welfare, and the online Student Participation Credit System. These sessions were designed to help new students understand the academic system and support services available throughout their studies at the Faculty of Agriculture.
To strengthen national awareness, participants attended a session on civic life, national identity, and national defense awareness delivered by I Ketut Kariyasa Adnyana, S.P. The session was expected to foster patriotism, responsibility, discipline, and awareness of students’ roles as the nation’s future generation.
In the following session, new students were introduced to the three undergraduate study programs within the Faculty of Agriculture, namely Agribusiness, Agroecotechnology, and Landscape Architecture. The session provided an overview of the academic characteristics, learning processes, and personal development opportunities offered by each study program.
The first day of PKKMB also featured a session on the Impactful Campus initiative delivered by Dr. I Kadek Wisma Yudha, S.P., M.P.; an introduction to the Information and Cooperation Management Unit by Dr. Anak Agung Ayu Wulandira Sawitri Djelantik, S.P., M.M.A.; and a session on student counseling and advocacy delivered by I Gusti Ayu Diah Fridari, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D.
The first-day program concluded with an introduction to academic advisors. Through this session, new students received information about the role of academic advisors in providing guidance, consultation, and assistance throughout their studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University.
Through the first day of PKKMB FP Unud 2026, new students are expected to gain a better understanding of the academic environment and higher education system while developing strong foundations in character, integrity, and national awareness. The event marks an important first step in helping students adapt to university life and prepare themselves to become accomplished members of the academic community who can contribute to the development of Indonesia’s agricultural sector.
