The Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, organized an Environment-Based Community Service Program in support of the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 15: Life on Land. The activity was held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Pura Ulun Danau Buyan, Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency.

This community service activity carried the spirit of “Lestari Alamku, Masa Depanku” or “Sustaining My Nature, Securing My Future” as a manifestation of the academic community’s concern for environmental preservation, particularly the lake ecosystem, surrounding forest areas, and the environment around Pura Ulun Danau Buyan. Through this program, the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, seeks to strengthen the role of higher education institutions in making meaningful contributions to society and the environment.

The series of activities began with the departure of the committee and participants from the Sudirman Campus at 07.00 WITA. Upon arrival at the location, the activity continued with preparations for a prayer ceremony at Pura Ulun Danau Buyan, followed by a joint prayer as a form of respect for the spiritual values and local wisdom of Balinese society.

Following the prayer ceremony, participants gathered at the wantilan to attend the opening session, which included remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, and the Head of Pancasari Village. The event also featured a symbolic handover of plant seedlings and fish fry by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, to the Head of Pancasari Village, followed by a group photo session.

As a concrete environmental conservation action, participants then carried out the release of fish fry and a clean-up activity around the Lake Buyan area. This activity is expected to increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining lake cleanliness, strengthening environmental conservation, and supporting the sustainability of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in the surrounding area.

Through this community service program, the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, reaffirms its commitment to continuously playing an active role in strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in community service that has a direct impact on the environment and social life.

With the spirit of “Preserving Nature for a Sustainable Life,” this activity is expected to serve as a momentum to strengthen collaboration among higher education institutions, village governments, communities, and all related stakeholders in maintaining environmental sustainability.
