Dissemination of Research Results and Socialization of Unud FP Undergraduate Study Program to SMKN 1 Petang
Badung-Dissemination of Research Results and Socialization of Undergraduate Study Programs, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University (FP Unud) was warmly welcomed by SMKN 1 Petang, Pelaga Village, Badung Regency. The title of this activity is Optimizing the Development of Modern Agricultural Technology in Increasing the Interest of the Millennial Generation in the Agricultural Sector. Principal of SMKN 1 Petang I Wayan Yudana, S.Pd., M.Pd., teachers and students welcomed the Unud FP group, namely the Dean Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P, M.Agr., Deputy Dean I I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., Deputy Dean II Dr. Widhianthini, S.P., M.Si., Deputy Dean III Dr. I Made Sukewijaya, S.P., M.Sc, Coordinator of Agroecotechnology Bachelor's Study Program, Dr. Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, S.P., M.Si., Coordinator of the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Study Program I Gusti Agung Ayu Rai Asmiwyati, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., 4 speakers Prof. Dr. Ir. Rindang Dwiyani, M.Sc., Prof. Dr. Ir. I Ketut Suamba, M.P., Ir. I Made Agus Dharmadiatmika, S.P., M.T., Moh Saifulloh, S.P., M.Sc., Lecturers, Education Staff, and Students in the SMKN 1 Evening Hall, Wednesday (22/11/2023).
Chair of the Dissemination Committee for Research Results of FP Unud Dr. Dewa Gede Wiryangga Selangga, S.P., M.Sc. provide a report regarding this activity which aims to disseminate research results related to agriculture in the future. Wiryangga said that apart from dissemination, there was also outreach from the Unud FP Undergraduate Study Program and that future collaborative relationships should be carried out, for example student internships at the Faculty of Agriculture's Experimental Garden (KPFP). Wiryangga is also an alumnus of SMKN 1 Petang who is active as a lecturer at FP Unud inviting younger students to continue their studies at FP Unud.
Dean Alit Susanta in his speech said that there were pearls at SMKN 1 Petang, in the past he had invited students from SMKN 1 Petang to register to choose FP Unud and there were many alumni who were successful at this time. You can now get education costs using several scholarships such as the KIP scholarship. Alit Susanta hopes that in the future students will be able to do internships at KPFP which has hydroponic installations, tissue culture, and horticulture planting methods so that they can also experience the topography in coastal areas which has a different view from the highlands. Alit Susanta hopes that this activity can provide benefits for us all. Hopefully the students can study at FP Unud and become successful farmers.
Yudana's speech began with the rhyme "Starting onions in Silakarang, Meli fruit in Baturiti, Welcome to SMKN 1 Petang, a beautiful and interesting place." Yudana explained that because of the natural vibrations, being reunited with FP Unud was a source of pride because the children we taught could visit again. There are our students who never stop continuing their studies at FP Unud. Yudana also said that there is a need for scholarships which are communicated to our students. SMKN 1 Petang has 2 expertise programs, namely Agribusiness of Food Crops and Horticulture (ATPH/Cultivation) and Agribusiness of Agricultural Product Processing (APHP/Department of Tourism/Culinary Management). The cold hands of FP Unud have produced graduates from SMKN 1 Petang alumni to become civil servants, PPPK, entrepreneurs, and join several companies. Yudana hopes that his students will be willing and able to pursue agriculture. Symbolic opening with the handover of the research book from the Dean of FP Unud to the Principal of SMKN 1 Petang.
Dissemination of Research Results from FP Unud moderated by Putu Oki Bimantara, S.P., M.Agr. read the profile of the resource person and a brief discussion provided by the resource person. The 1st resource person started from Saifulloh regarding Geographic Information Systems (GIS), for example, we often use location shares that contain coordinate points that already use GIS. Saifulloh's research results on the implementation of the Rice Field WebMap for the distribution of subsidized fertilizer in several subaks in Denpasar and surrounding districts. Apart from that, research to check your position in the Disaster Prone Area (KRB) of Mount Agung in the form of a Disaster Prone Zone WebMap, and mapping the suitability of horticultural land in Pelaga Village. 2nd resource person Prof. Rindang explained about plant propagation using in vitro culture, the influence of the hormones auxin and cytokinin with the results of the research producing large quantities of virus-free fruit plant seeds. 3rd resource person Prof. Suamba regarding the development of Subak-based agrotourism. The agrotourism development model for Subak benefits, there is sightseeing tourism, spiritual tourism, trekking tourism from Catur Angga Batukaru. Dharmadiatmika 4th resource person regarding the role of digital technology in landscape architectural works, a compilation of research results from students and lecturers, and the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the world of landscape architecture.
