Community Service 3rd Anniversary of Agroecotechnology Masters Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University
The Masters Program in Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, will carry out the 3rd anniversary of community service, for that the Masters Program in Agroecotechnology carries out community service for 2 days, the first day is carried out in a Hybrid manner on Monday 8 August 2022 with material with the material 1. Getting to know Plant Factory Cultivation with the resource person Prof. Dr. Ir. I Ketut Suada, M.P. and 2. Off-season Cultivation Technology to Support Urban Farming with Prof. Dr. Ir I Nyoman Rai, M.S.. This community service event was moderated by Dr. Ir. Big Wijana. This service event was held in the Senate Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. Day 2, held on Tuesday 9 August 2022, this community service was carried out offline at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University from 10.00 to 11.40 by taking the topic of Explanation and introduction to Plant Factory and Introduction to tissue culture. This community service was attended by by lecturers of the faculty of agriculture, the department of agriculture, students and the general public.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture who in this case was represented by WD 2, Prof. Ir. I GAAA. Ani Ambarawat.M.Ec,Ph.D who in her speech greatly appreciated this community service event so that later the material and practice presented today will be very useful later and also various researches by this lecturer can also be shared with the general public.
Prof. Suada, who is an expert in the field of Plant factory, invites the community to start switching to hydroponic planting in the roar by utilizing various lights that have different wavelengths to replace sunlight to help the photosynthesis process in plants. While Prof. Dr. Ir I Nyoman Rai, M.S provided a cultivation technology to plant out of season to support urban farming to increase agricultural production.
