Udayana University Announces the Implementation of the 2026 PKKMB

Udayana University has officially announced the implementation of the 2026 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students, known as PKKMB, through Rector’s Circular Letter Number 10/UN14/SE/2026. PKKMB is a mandatory part of the new student admission process and will be conducted in person, involving university leaders, faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, and students.

In 2026, Udayana University’s PKKMB carries the theme “Building Synergy towards an Excellent, Independent, and Culturally Rooted Udayana University.” The theme reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening collaboration among all members of the academic community in creating a higher education environment that is excellent, independent, character-driven, and firmly grounded in cultural values.

The university-level PKKMB will be held for two days, from 1 to 2 August 2026. On 17 August 2026, representatives of the new students will also participate in the flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. Following the university-level programme, faculty-level PKKMB activities will be held for two days, with schedules and venues determined by each faculty, and must be completed no later than 9 August 2026.

The 2026 PKKMB programme will cover a wide range of topics, including national awareness, an introduction to the higher education system, student character development, student organisations and activities, the prevention and handling of violence in higher education institutions, financial literacy, and student well-being. New students will also receive guidance on the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence and the ethical use of information technology in the university environment.

In addition, PKKMB will provide students with an understanding of cultural values and campus ethics, proper conduct and norms in university life, academic integrity and anti-plagiarism, as well as the prevention of bullying, drug abuse, corruption, and sexual violence. Students will also be encouraged to communicate responsibly and wisely through social media. Local university content will include Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental awareness, student entrepreneurship, and the Kampus Berdampak programme.

The university-level PKKMB will be held at Widya Sabha Building, Udayana University Jimbaran Campus, while the venues for faculty-level PKKMB activities will be determined by each respective faculty. The activities will begin at 7:30 a.m. Central Indonesian Time (WITA) and conclude no later than 4:30 p.m. WITA. All activities will be conducted face-to-face through lectures and other creative learning methods supported by information technology.

PKKMB participants include all new students as well as students who have not previously participated in the programme and are still eligible to do so until their third semester. New students who are unable to attend the 2026 PKKMB are required to participate in the programme in the following year.

Udayana University emphasises that PKKMB must be implemented in a spirit of guidance, support, solidarity, and friendship. All forms of hazing, humiliation, intimidation, and physical or psychological violence are strictly prohibited throughout the programme. PKKMB is expected to provide a safe, educational, inclusive, and welcoming environment for new students as they begin to understand academic and student life at Udayana University.

Through the implementation of the 2026 PKKMB, new students are expected to adapt successfully to the university environment, understand their rights and responsibilities, develop strong character and leadership skills, and actively participate in academic and student activities at Udayana University.
