In his remarks, I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, stated that the purpose of the Udayana Harvest event is for the Faculty of Agriculture to implement the philosophy of "reaping what you sow," which is analogous to planting corn and then reaping corn. Sudiarta stated that the Faculty of Agriculture currently aims to establish an Agricultural Hospital (Hospital Agriculture) that synergizes with all laboratories within the Faculty of Agriculture. This aims to be closer to the community and its partner villages, particularly in terms of maintaining and managing various plant pests and diseases. Furthermore, given the limited number of young people interested in pursuing agriculture, the Faculty of Agriculture also aims to develop more young people who will contribute to the field.

In his remarks while opening the Udayana Harvesting Event, Sudarsana congratulated the Faculty of Agriculture and expressed his pride that this event could be realized. The Rector hopes that in the future the Faculty of Agriculture can continue to progress, develop and have an impact on society, and also hopes that in the next 5 years it can become the main driving force for Food Security which is marked by the birth of the Center for Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI) for Food Sovereignty.
