58th Anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture and the 47th Anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture
Badung - At the Bukit Jimbaran Campus, the Faculty of Agriculture at Udayana University celebrated its 58th anniversary and the 47th Anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture. The event, held on Monday, September 1, 2025, included a flag-raising ceremony attended by the Vice Rector III, Deans, Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, Lecturers, Education Staff, and students.
In his address as Ceremony Instructor, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., conveyed the Faculty of Agriculture's achievements by 2025, including the development of business processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), a Research and Community Service Roadmap, Academic Guidelines, the Faculty of Agriculture's Strategic Plan, and other initiatives. In addition, the Faculty of Agriculture has also achieved numerous achievements, including a student being crowned Miss Earth 2025, a finalist in Miss Asia 2025, and a Farmer Ambassador 2025, among many others, both nationally and internationally. Among its faculty members, national recognition includes Prof. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta from the Higher Education Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI), the election of Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja as Chair of the Indonesian Phytopathology Association (PFI), I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D. as Chair of the Eastern Region of FKPTPI, and Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya as Vice Rector III of Udayana University.
Sudiarta outlined the Faculty of Agriculture's future plans, including joint practicums, independent internships, and the development of a garden integrated with the Agricultural Hospital. He hopes these activities will continue to require support from the entire Faculty of Agriculture academic community to ensure the success of the Faculty of Agriculture.
